Since the warmer temperatures are just around the corner (hopefully) we have decided to come up with some healthy(ish) but delicious frozen treats for the kids! These recipes are great for garden parties or as simple treats when playing outside with friends.

JELLY POPS

What you need:

  • Flavoured jelly
  • Ice lolly moulds
  • Fruit (whatever is your kid’s favourite)

Method:

  1. Follow the instructions on the back of the jelly packet to create the jelly liquid
  2. Pour the liquid into the ice lolly moulds
  3. Chop the fruit of your choice into small pieces and place into the moulds
  4. Places the moulds into the freezer for at least 4 hours.

 

FROZEN YOGHURT BUTTONS

What you need:

  • 3 flavours of yoghurt
  • Plastic sandwich bags
  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper

Method:

  1. Fill three sandwich bags with the yoghurt (one flavour per bag)
  2. Push all the yoghurt to the bottom of the bad and snip the corner of the bag (this will be your piping bag)
  3. Line the baking tray with the parchment paper
  4. Pipe small circles of the yoghurt along the paper
  5. Freeze for 1 hour until frozen

 

 

CHOCOLATE BANANA POPS

What you need:

  • Bananas
  • Milk chocolate
  • Sprinkles
  • Skewers
  • Baking Tray
  • Parchment paper

 

Method:

  1. Cut each banana in half
  2. Place a skewer up the middle of the banana
  3. Melt the milk chocolate in a pot
  4. Dip each banana in the chocolate, covering the full banana
  5. Place banana on the baking tray
  6. Decorate with sprinkles
  7. Freeze for 1 hour until frozen

 

REAL FRUIT POPS

What you need:

  • Fruit (whatever your kids prefer)
  • Blender
  • Ice lolly moulds

 

Method:

  1. Cut up your chosen fruit and blend until a liquid is formed
  2. Pour the liquid into the moulds
  3. Freeze for 2 hours until frozen

 

LEMONADE FRUIT LOLLIES

What you need:

  • Assorted fruit (whatever your kids favourites are)
  • Lemonade
  • Ice lolly moulds

 

Method:

  1. Cut the fruit up
  2. Put the assorted fruit into the moulds, filling them halfway
  3. Pour the lemonade into the moulds
  4. Freeze for 1 hour until frozen
